Welcome to our new teachers at Detroit Lakes Middle School!
Alexis Engum - Alexis will be teaching 8th grade math at the Middle School. She has taught for five years. She is from Badger and graduated from Concordia and SMSU. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and CrossFit.
Shane Nerby - Shane will be teaching special education at the Middle School. He has taught for 32 years. He is from Thompson, ND and graduated from the University of North Dakota. In his free time, he enjoys building his eventual retirement home and restoring motorcycles and family tractor.
Darin Zimmerman - Darin will be the behavior interventionist at the Middle School. He has taught for 12 years. He is from Rothsay and graduated from the University of North Dakota and Minnesota State University Mankato. In his free time, he enjoys athletics, the outdoors, and spending time with his family.
