Let's continue to celebrate Farm to School Month! This week, we procured some cucumbers, peppers, & watermelon from Annie's Garden of Fresh Greens, tomatoes from Lakeview Greenhouses, and leaf lettuce for our wraps & sandwiches from Little Elbow Farm.

Thursday, the DLMS Student Council partnered with BTD to pack more than 23,000 meals for kids in need. They brought a lot of enthusiasm, hard work, and laughter to the mobile Feed My Starving Children site located at the Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes.

DLMS sent two teams to the Jr. Envirothon competition that was held at Detroit Mountain yesterday. One team earned a third place finish! The kids studied hard and did a fantastic job competing in stations in the following topics: Wetlands, Forestry, Energy, Soils, and Wildlife.
