Congratulations to our DLMS band students for being accepted into the Minnesota Band Directors Association Regional Honor Band. They represented Detroit Lakes at Horizon Middle School in Moorhead on Saturday, April 26th. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

7th graders at DLMS celebrated April Fool's Day with a Crazy Hat Day! It goes along with the novel they just finished called Paper Things by Jennifer Richard Jacobson. In the book, Crazy Hat Day was a tradition to create a school culture of belonging among classmates.
Our students went all out with crazy, fun hats! Here are some of the best! 7th graders were able to vote for their favorites to win ice cream!
